Contact UsLimited Edition of Print No. 5 – Sisters
This is one of a pair of prints: 4 and 5
It was common for sisters to work together, often moving full coal tubs out of the mine. The sister at the back pushing the tub was known as the ‘Thruster’. This work meant that the girls would often lose the hair on the front of their heads.
The bronze plaque No 5 was sponsored by Gillian Okonniwa
